Fall has arrived (and to summer we say, so long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye!). The Donnas are hot on the trail to see what fall is bringing to the table when it comes to the season’s best and boldest hair trends. We took some inspo from our favorite celebs to show you what we’re going to be rockin’ and lockin’ all autumn long.
Choppers
We first started to see this trend pop up with Kourtney Kardashian’s short choppy coif on her Instagram. Then, it seemed all of a sudden, everyone was doing it. We are absolutely loving the sleek look of Lucy Hale’s mane for fall/winter months. Plus, it’s so much easier to maintain! Ask for a blunt cut from your stylist and keep it smooth with a frizz-balancing shampoo.

Pixies
It just doesn’t get any cuter than a pixie cut, and we are enamored with Gabrielle Union in this hairstyle for fall! Go for a natural, soft-curl cropped cut like Gabrielle, or stick to a sleek chocolate or jet black, or even platinum a la Zoe Kravitz’s recent ‘do. Either way, you look exquisite, chic and mega-ready for all the edgy fall looks.

Bangers
The big bang is here, folks (no not the astronomical phenomenon nor the TV show)! The return of the bangs has been slowly creeping in this past year as hairstyles got more and more shaggy from pandemic life and lack of access to our stylists. And we don’t hate it! Try a curtain bang, a curly bang or the classic long-layered bang. You know we had to feature the Bangs Queen herself as our fall example, Ms. Dakota Johnson. We’re loving her deep chocolate locks with extra shine and an easy-going 70s wave.

Blondies
Heart of glass, head of gold – Blondie would be so proud. The icy platinum look has taken over for fall and will extend into winter based on how many celebs we’ve seen sporting these pale locks. From Billie Eilish’s romantic Met Gala look to Selma Blair’s cool pixie, we expect to see more of this dramatic change to come. Don’t forget to keep the brass off with a purple shampoo that repairs damaged ends!
